Lous Suais is a naturist campsite for families. This means that we do practice a naturism as described by the international naturist federation.

« Naturism is a way of life in harmony with nature characterised by the practice of communal nudity with the intention of encouraging self-respect, respect for others and for the environment».

Without clothes, people tend to rely on their personalities to make a statement and accept others for who they are, rather than what they might be wearing.  Some say that when they shed their clothes, they also shed the stress of their busy lives. 

At Lous Suais, guests prefer to stay naked but they can keep their clothes if they want.

Wearing clothes is tolerated.

Still, nudity is the usual way of life when temperature is high enough for that. Nudity is mandatory near the places to swim and in the showers.

No it is not possible. Nudity is mandatory at Lous Suais from the terrace to the lake (which includes pontons). Still, wearing a life jacket is mandatory for sailing and canoeing.

Lous Suais is a place of wellness and a naturist campsite. It wants to keep its lifestyle.

Nudity is higly recommended as soon as the weather makes it possible.

Still, nudity is also a way of being free and where everyone must feel as good as he can with himself, respecting others. Everyone is allowed to do whatever he wants, as soon as he respects naturism policies and common sense.

But nudity is mandatory at the swimming places (including beach and pontons) even for teenagers. It is also mandatory in showers.

Of course we can. You just have to talk to us about it when you arrive or by phone when you book your stay. There is no taboo question. Explaining and understanding each other are the best ways for everyone to get great holidays.

That is a question we regularly get.

The answer is a big yes and we do not see why it would not be the case.

Naturism is a way of life which leads clothed people to be prejudiced against  naturists people. For us it is out of the question to let this kind of prejudice inbetween the naturists themselves.

Single men or couples. Single women or couples, friends, young adults, teenagers, chilren and babies are all welcome withtout restriction or differences regarding their social origins, color of their skins or their sexual orientation.

Only individual behaving are suitable or not regarding french laws and to the rules of behaving at the campsite.

No. Still, Lous Suais is supporting naturist federation in different countries. That is why a valid naturist licence brings you many advantages during low season. Reduced prices, extras for free. If the licence is not mandatory, smiling faces are  very welcome.

• For the pitches:
  A prepayment of 40% of your stay will be asked with a payment by bank card or credit card. Our online payment system is secured.
   
• For the rentals:
  Full prepayment must be paid when booking except in case of special agreement.

Anyway, you'll get a payment confirmation then a confirmation of your reservation as soon as possible.

Still, receiving a mail is slower than phoning or booking through our website. It is not possible to choose a precise place through mail. We advice you to choose different pitches so that we can find something that fits you.

When you book a stay on our website, a dynamical map appears. It lets you choose a precise pitch at the campsite if it is available.

You can also get a short list of available pitches depending on your criterias's search.

It is possible to pay your booking with:

• A bank card MasterCard, Visa, Maestro (through our website, or by phone)
• An American Express card
• A money wire transfer (European Union only)

Prepayment can not be given back by the campsite in case of cancellation. But campsite Lous Suais offers you a cancellation's insurance when you book for a stay.

It is your decision to choose to get it or not.

Reservation fees apply to all the bookings. they correspond not only to the booking of the pitch itself but also, for the rentals, to set up of the rentals for your arrival. 

Some campsites include these fees in the price of the rental. We prefer to make it différently in order to give a hand to the numerous guests who choose to stay at Lous Suais for long periods of time.

To prevent any stress when you leave the campsite, we ask you to give us the amount still to be paid the day before you leave from Lous Suais.

This prevents you from being late on your schedule for leaving the campsite.

Sometimes for a reason or another we can not be at the reception's office even during opening times.

On site, it is possible to pay with:

• A bank or credit card MasterCard, Visa, Maestro
• An American Express card
• Apple Pay system
• Cash

If a deposit is required, a card must be used.
(the amount is not debited from the account except if the deposit has to be used)

Many situations can occurs and make a stay to be shortened.

From the most banal to the most serious.

Like in every campsite, Lous Suais is organising its season depending on the numbers of bookings and guests. Leaving quicker than booked and it is some other guests who could have come that we had to refuse, some planned services that can not be correctly done.

Every stay which is booked and not canceled within 30 days before its start has to be fully paid, until the date of leaving planned when booking.

Depending on the reason of your cancellation it is sometimes possible to get a refund from an insurance company if you subscribed a cancellation insurance when you booked your stay.

 A cancellation insurance is offered as an option when you book on Lous Suais website. It is under your responsability to subscribe to it or not.

Anyone who comes to the campsite must leave its car at the parking near the entrance. He must presents himself at the reception. We prefer to be informed in advance by our guests that someone is visiting them.

Day Pass will be applied as soon as it will not be a simple visit (more than 2 hours or in case of use of the campsite's equipments).

Arrival time for the rental is from 3 pm.
If you think about arriving late (between 3 pm and 9 pm, it is important to say it).

You must leave your rental before 12 am on the last day of your stay.

We accept domestic pets, dogs and cats, only on pitches (not in rentals) and if their vaccinations are updated. Dogs from 1st and 2nd category are strictly forbidden.

Pets must be kept on leash without any exception at the terrace of the restaurant.

Pets must be led away if they bother another guest (for any reason).

For hygiene reasons and in order to comply with french regulations, pets are strictly forbidden at the beach and on the pontons. This rule is to be followed even if no one is bathing.

The fact of not following those rules can lead you to definitely leave the campsite  without any possibility of getting back the money used for your booking.

French laws are very strict regarding animals and human bathing.

Gaz BBQs are allowed on your pitch.

A common BBQ with charcoal is available at a special place on the campsite (charcoal not provided). You can use it as much as you want. Please note that it is not allowed to use charcoal BBQ on pitches.

No. For the well being of everybody, cars must be left on the (free) parkings of the campsite.

Of course, you will be able to enter and exit the campsite to load and unload your belongings when you arrive and when you leave the campsite (before 10 pm).

In case of a late arrival, you will find a key at the restaurant or at the campsite's entrance in an enveloppe with your name and a map of the campsite.

In this eventuality, we ask you to come to the reception office the next morning to confirm us your arrival.

Water from the lake is checked all along the season by an independant laboratory which belongs to the French Health Ministry.

All the results of this laboratory confirms that the quality of the water is excellent for swimming.

Temperature is usually between 14 and 25°C depending on the weather and on the work on the dams before and after the campsite.

There are different supermarkets around the campsite.

At Bujaleuf, located 3 km from the campsite, you will find a small supermarket and some shops.

At St Leonard de Noblat, lovated 14 km from the campsite, you will find different big supermarkets, shops, banks, and a fuel station.

Lous Suais campsite is a campsite with terraces.

The difference in level between the upper part and the lower part of the campsite is approximately 65 meters.

The pitches are flat but their access can sometimes be difficult.

For this reason, 2 pitches are more particularly accessible for disabled guests with a tent, a caravan or a motorhome.

The numbers 35 and 48.

Unlike the other camping pitches, on these 2 places, the cars can stay in the immediate vicinity without disturbing the other campers and thus allow a better integration with valid and disabled guests.

This helps guests with reduced mobility to maintain their autonomy. It is also possible to park your car near the bar to avoid descending by paths from the campsite.

Be careful, however: The natural configuration remains poorly suited to certain types of handicaps. People with orientation difficulties, for example, can be more easily disoriented, because of the very forest aspect of the land.

Access to the lake being unsupervised, common sense and vigilance remain essential for everyone. Whether there is a disability or not.

Cancellation insurance covers the inability to come to the campsite, the interruption of a stay or even a significantly delayed arrival.

Cancellation insurance also covers certain problems that may arise during vacation (sick pet, a replacement vehicle if the car breaks down, etc.)

The cost of cancellation insurance is most of the time proportional to the cost of the planned stay.

It is subscribed at the time of booking a stay.

Yes, exclusively for stays taking place at Lous Suais.

To avoid any conflict of interest between the camper and the campsite, independent insurance is offered.

Lous Suais acts as a simple intermediary between the camper and the insurer.

We have chosen to entrust cancellation insurance to the company Neat Camping.

Very simply: At the end of the online reservation process, the choice is given whether or not to add cancellation insurance.

Its price is calculated on the total amount of the stay.

If the reservation is made by telephone or email, you simply need to inform us of your wish to take out insurance to find out the price.

Deposits paid to Lous Suais for reservations are not refundable by the campsite.

Furthermore, between D-30 and the day of your arrival, the entire stay is due to the campsite, even if a simple deposit has been paid until then.

Cancellation insurance allows you to reimburse, depending on the reason for cancellation, all or part of the deposit to the camper.

Cancellation insurance also allows you to reimburse all or part of the amounts remaining due, if the cancellation occurs less than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date.

This insurance is optional. It is in no way obligatory and can also be taken out, if necessary, with an insurer of your choice.

We simply offer insurance that seems suitable to best meet the needs of Lous Suais campers.

Like all cancellation insurance, a large number of situations give rise to reimbursement upon presentation of supporting documents.

But the main advantage is that you can also cancel your stay, up to the day of arrival, without specific reason and without justification with a 70% refund of the amounts due (excluding booking fees and tourist tax).

As soon as you become aware of the event giving rise to the guarantee, you must notify the Lous Suais campsite IMMEDIATELY.

You must then declare your claim to NEAT within five working days of becoming aware of it, except in a fortuitous or forceful event.
